These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the TheJourneyOf.Life platform, website, and all related services (the “Service”) provided by TheJourneyOf.Life Inc. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Plain-language summary: You get access to a powerful life platform. You own your data. We provide the service in good faith and expect you to use it lawfully. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us. Either of us can end the relationship, and if we end it, you get your data out first.
1. Eligibility
To use TheJourneyOf.Life, you must be at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and your parent or guardian accepts these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
2. Your Account
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your master password and recovery credentials. Do not share your credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at security@helixa.life. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3. The Service
TheJourneyOf.Life provides secure document storage, financial organization tools, AI-powered insights, legacy planning features, and Time Capsule message delivery. TheJourneyOf.Life provides financial information and education — NOT regulated financial, legal, medical, or tax advice. Consult qualified licensed professionals for advice specific to your situation. We strive for 99.9% uptime and may add, modify, or remove features over time with reasonable notice.
4. Subscriptions & Payment
TheJourneyOf.Life offers paid membership tiers described at helixa.life/pricing. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance monthly or annually. We may change pricing with 30 days notice. If you cancel within 14 days of purchase or renewal, you are entitled to a full refund; after 14 days, fees are non-refundable but access continues until the end of your paid period. Gift subscriptions are non-refundable once activated.
5. Your Content & Data
You own all content you upload, create, or store in TheJourneyOf.Life. These Terms do not transfer ownership to TheJourneyOf.Life. By storing content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to operate the Service for you. You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the right to store it and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use TheJourneyOf.Life only for lawful purposes. You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; attempt unauthorized access; use bots/scripts without permission; upload defamatory, obscene, or infringing content; reverse engineer the Service; resell or commercially exploit it without permission; store or transmit malware; or interfere with the Service's integrity or performance.
7. Access Roles & Third-Party Access
TheJourneyOf.Life's access role system lets you grant others access to specific portions of your account. You are solely responsible for the access you grant and to whom. TheJourneyOf.Life is not liable for actions taken by individuals to whom you have granted access. You can revoke any access role at any time.
8. Time Capsule & Legacy Features
By using these features you understand that TheJourneyOf.Life will deliver Time Capsule content to designated recipients per your instructions where technically and legally feasible, and will make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver but does not guarantee delivery in circumstances beyond our control. Executor activation requires confirmation from your designated trigger contacts plus official documentation. TheJourneyOf.Life is not a substitute for legal estate planning.
9. Intellectual Property
The TheJourneyOf.Life platform — its design, software, trademarks, and content (excluding your personal content) — is owned by TheJourneyOf.Life Inc. The TheJourneyOf.Life name, the helixa.life domain, the Life Score, and the TheJourneyOf.Life logo are trademarks of TheJourneyOf.Life Inc.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We work hard to make TheJourneyOf.Life reliable and accurate, but cannot guarantee perfection. Financial data from third-party aggregators may occasionally be inaccurate, AI insights are educational, and OCR may occasionally misread characters. We fix errors when brought to our attention.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEJOURNEYOF.LIFE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THEJOURNEYOF.LIFE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as our own fraud or gross negligence.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TheJourneyOf.Life Inc. from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and costs arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time; upon termination your data will be deleted within 24 hours and you retain access until the end of your current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, security risk, or legal requirement. If we terminate without cause, you receive a prorated refund and 30 days to export your data.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction — to be confirmed upon incorporation; this section will be finalized with counsel prior to public launch]. Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief for IP infringement or security violations. You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as a class action. Nothing prevents you from bringing a dispute before your local small claims court.
15. Changes to These Terms
We will notify you by email and in-app at least 30 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with material changes, you may terminate before the effective date and receive a prorated refund.
