Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know about TheJourneyOf.Life.

What TheJourneyOf.Life Is

What is TheJourneyOf.Life?

TheJourneyOf.Life is the world's first Life Intelligence Platform. It is the single organized home for your complete financial life, your important documents, your family history, and the messages you most want to leave for the people you love — all in one place, with the security of a bank and the permanence of an institution. It is not a budgeting app, not an estate planning service, and not a password manager. It is a new category that has never existed before.

What does 'Life Intelligence Platform' mean?

It means the platform is intelligent about your life — not just storing things, but understanding what it is holding, surfacing insights from it, and connecting everything together. Your financial accounts inform your Life Score. Your estate documents inform your estate readiness. Your contacts inform your Time Capsule delivery. Everything shares the same underlying data and grows more powerful together over time.

Who is TheJourneyOf.Life for?

Everyone who has a life and people who will one day need to understand what they left behind. That is every adult. The core demographic is 45-65 — peak financial complexity meets peak estate urgency. But the habit established at 22 serves you at 52. And the gift given to a teenager at graduation is the organizational foundation for their entire adult life. TheJourneyOf.Life is designed to grow with a person across their entire life.

What makes TheJourneyOf.Life different from everything else I have tried?

Three things that nothing else offers simultaneously. First: it is one platform for all eight categories of a person's organized life — not another tool that solves one piece. Second: the Time Capsule with a legally guaranteed delivery fund — the only platform where your final words are backed by a restricted legal reserve that outlasts the company. Third: zero-knowledge encryption for your most private content — meaning TheJourneyOf.Life genuinely cannot read your Private Journal. Not a policy. A mathematical fact.

Is TheJourneyOf.Life a startup?

No. TheJourneyOf.Life is an institution. It is backed by a private foundation with a legally binding 100-year operating mandate and no external investors. No venture capital. No exit pressure. No board of investors whose interests diverge from yours after ten years. Every decision is made against one criterion: is this in the permanent best interest of the people who trust us? The platform is designed to outlast its founder.

The Time Capsule

What is the Time Capsule?

The Time Capsule lets you record a message — video, audio, or written — and schedule it for delivery at a moment you choose. A birthday. A graduation. A wedding day you do not know the date of yet. After you are gone. The message is stored securely and delivered automatically when the moment arrives. It is the feature most likely to make someone cry in the first ten minutes of using the platform.

What guarantees that my Time Capsule messages will actually be delivered?

Two legal structures. First: the Time Capsule Delivery Obligation Fund — a legally restricted financial reserve maintained separately from TheJourneyOf.Life's operating accounts, inaccessible to creditors, existing for one purpose only: ensuring every scheduled message is delivered. Second: a formally designated custodian organization holds a contractual obligation to honor all scheduled deliveries in any business scenario. Your messages will be delivered. This is a structural guarantee, not a policy.

What happens to my Time Capsule messages if TheJourneyOf.Life ceases to exist?

The Delivery Obligation Fund and the custodian arrangement ensure delivery continues regardless of what happens to TheJourneyOf.Life as a company. This screen is accessible inside the platform at Time Capsule > About Delivery and at Settings > Platform Continuity. It links to the actual legal document. We show you the mechanism, not just the promise.

How does Time Capsule delivery work for someone who is not a TheJourneyOf.Life member?

If the recipient is a TheJourneyOf.Life member, the message is delivered in-app with a push notification and email backup. If the recipient is not a TheJourneyOf.Life member, the message is delivered via email and SMS simultaneously. The email opens with: 'Someone who loves you recorded this message for you.' The message comes first. Below it, one quiet line introducing TheJourneyOf.Life. No pressure. No promotion. The message is the point.

Can I see proof that my Time Capsule was stored?

Yes. When you store a Time Capsule, a sealed envelope animation appears with a gold wax seal, followed by a Proof of Storage receipt showing a cryptographic timestamp and an alphanumeric reference hash. A 'Save Receipt' button downloads this as a PDF. When your message is eventually delivered, two notifications are sent: one to the recipient with the message, and one to your designated estate contact confirming delivery.

Security and Privacy

How secure is TheJourneyOf.Life?

AES-256-GCM encryption at rest — the same standard the United States government uses for SECRET-classified information — protects every document, every credential, and every record. TLS 1.3 protects all data in transit. Multi-factor authentication is mandatory for all accounts. Quarterly independent penetration testing by rotating third-party firms, with results published publicly at helixa.life/trust. SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress.

What is zero-knowledge encryption and why does it matter?

Zero-knowledge encryption means your content is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves it. TheJourneyOf.Life's servers receive only the encrypted version — ciphertext — and do not hold the decryption key. This means TheJourneyOf.Life cannot read your Private Journal entries or your Security Vault credentials. Not because we have decided not to. Because we mathematically cannot. Other content — financial data, vault documents, family records, and Time Capsule messages — is encrypted at rest on our servers, meaning we can read it (to power AI insights, or to deliver your Time Capsule to its recipient) but never share or sell it.

Can TheJourneyOf.Life see my financial accounts?

TheJourneyOf.Life connects to your financial accounts via Plaid (read-only access) to generate your Life Score, net worth statement, and AI insights. We can see this data — and we use it to serve you. We cannot sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. These are commitments in our founding corporate documents, not our terms of service. The Encryption Transparency Chart inside the platform (Settings > Security and Privacy > What Can TheJourneyOf.Life See?) shows exactly which data TheJourneyOf.Life can and cannot read.

What is the Data Sovereignty Charter?

Seven specific commitments built into TheJourneyOf.Life's founding corporate documents. They include: you own every byte of your data always, you can export everything at any time in one tap, you can delete everything within 24 hours permanently, we will never sell or share your data, zero advertising, zero data broker relationships, and we will notify you within 72 hours of any security breach. These cannot be changed without unanimous board approval and full public disclosure. They are not policies. They are founding structural commitments. Read them at helixa.life/trust.

Can I take my data with me if I leave TheJourneyOf.Life?

Yes. One tap. Settings > Data and Privacy > Export My Complete Data produces a ZIP archive within 60 seconds containing everything you have ever stored — all vault documents in original format, financial data in CSV, journal entries in plain text, contact records, undelivered Time Capsule files, and a README explaining the file structure. No support ticket. No waiting period. No paywall — export is available to every account. This is a commitment of the Data Sovereignty Charter.

What happens if I want to delete my account?

Your complete account and all data is permanently deleted within 24 hours of your request. This is a commitment of the Data Sovereignty Charter. Settings > Data and Privacy > Delete My Account. A confirmation step requires you to type a confirmation phrase. After that, everything is gone. Permanently.

The Platform

What is the Life Score?

Your Life Score is a number from 0 to 1,000 that measures how organized and protected your life is for the people who depend on you. Four components: Financial Health (0-250), Life Organization (0-250), Legacy Readiness (0-250), and Family Security (0-250). It increases every time you take an organizational action — uploading a document, reviewing a beneficiary designation, recording a Time Capsule message, naming your executor. It is the feedback mechanism that turns a one-time task into a permanent habit. Think of it as a measure of the gift you are giving your family, not a grade.

What is the Advisor Marketplace?

A directory of credential-verified financial and estate planning professionals — certified financial planners, estate attorneys, CPAs, and insurance advisors — integrated into the platform at the exact moments you need professional guidance. All professionals are credential-verified before listing and re-verified annually. Results are filtered by your location and jurisdiction — only professionals licensed to work in your area appear. When the Legal Document Verification Checkpoint flags your will as potentially needing review, the first thing you see is a list of verified estate attorneys near you.

What is the 10-Minute Estate Readiness Sprint?

A guided flow that gets you from zero to organized in under 10 minutes. Five steps: name your executor, locate or flag your five key documents, record a short Time Capsule message, review your beneficiary designations, and see your Life Score. It works offline for the document steps. It is the demo, the press pitch, the association referral, and the conversion driver — and it is completable in one sitting by anyone.

What is Grief Mode?

When you record a death in your Family Records or mark an estate as being administered, TheJourneyOf.Life activates Grief Mode automatically for 30 days. All Life Score nudges and optimization notifications pause. The dashboard greeting changes to: 'We know this is a difficult time. TheJourneyOf.Life is here whenever you need it.' The platform becomes quieter. After 30 days, a gentle prompt invites you to return when you are ready. Grief Mode can also be activated manually at Settings > Accessibility.

What is the Executor Emergency Sheet?

A printable PDF generated on demand containing everything your executor needs to find and manage your estate — without any passwords, account numbers, or financial balances. It lists your financial institutions by name and type, where key documents are physically located, the names and contacts of your key professional advisors, and instructions for accessing your TheJourneyOf.Life account. It is a roadmap, not a key. Your executor can use it even without a device or internet access.

Pricing and Membership

What does TheJourneyOf.Life cost?

$9.99 per month for founding members — locked for life. The first 1,000,000 people who join TheJourneyOf.Life pay $9.99/month forever, regardless of future price increases. When the 1,000,000 founding member spots are filled, the price rises to $19.99/month for new members. The founding member price is not a promotional offer. It is a permanent, legally committed lock on your rate.

What is included in the founding member price?

Everything. The complete platform: all eight modules, 50GB of secure storage, the AI Life Advisor, the Advisor Marketplace, the Time Capsule with delivery guarantee, the Family Network, the Refer a Friend program, and every feature that ships while you are a founding member. No tiers, no feature unlocks, no upsells beyond the optional Storage Booster for additional storage.

What is the TheJourneyOf.Life Gift?

A $249 one-time gift that pre-loads a Complete TheJourneyOf.Life account for someone you love. You record a welcome video in your voice. You pre-load family history. They receive an account that starts organized rather than blank. It is the highest-LTV acquisition channel in the platform and genuinely the most meaningful gift for a graduation, a parent, a new parent, or anyone who has been putting this off.

What happens to my founding member rate if TheJourneyOf.Life is acquired?

The founding member price lock is written into the company's legal structure. Any acquirer would be bound by this commitment as a condition of the acquisition. This is not a marketing promise — it is a structural legal commitment.

For Journalists and Partners

How many users does TheJourneyOf.Life have?

TheJourneyOf.Life launched on August 1, 2026. We will share user metrics at meaningful milestones. What we can say on launch day: the platform is complete, tested, and operational. Every claim maps to a live screen. The press kit at press@helixa.life includes a live demonstration offer — we would rather show than tell.

Who built TheJourneyOf.Life and why?

TheJourneyOf.Life was built by a founding team with thirty years of professional relationships, funded by thirty years of disciplined trading income held in a private foundation. It was built because of something witnessed repeatedly: the organizational chaos that follows a death that was not anticipated. The eleven months spent in a filing cabinet looking for documents that were never organized. The passwords that die with their owner. The messages that were always meant to be sent and never were. TheJourneyOf.Life is what preparation looks like.

Is the platform secure enough for sensitive financial and estate documents?

The security architecture was built before the first user, not after the first breach. AES-256-GCM at rest. TLS 1.3 in transit. Zero-knowledge encryption for Private Journal and Security Vault credentials; Time Capsule messages are encrypted at rest with a dedicated key, since they must remain readable by a future recipient. Mandatory MFA. Quarterly independent penetration testing with results published publicly. SOC 2 Type II in progress. The complete security documentation is at helixa.life/trust. It is updated quarterly and includes audit results.

What is the business model — how does TheJourneyOf.Life make money without selling data?

Subscription revenue: $9.99/month founding member, $19.99/month standard, $4.99/month Storage Booster add-on. One-time TheJourneyOf.Life Gift at $249. Advisor Marketplace professional listing fees: $99-$699/month per professional. Enterprise group accounts for HR benefit programs. The platform is built to generate revenue from subscriptions and professional services — not from user data. This is structural, not aspirational.

Where can I find the security documentation, audit results, and data commitments?

Everything is at helixa.life/trust. The complete security architecture in plain language. The Data Sovereignty Charter verbatim. The independent audit schedule with specific dates and firm names. Published audit results within 30 days of each audit completion. The bug bounty program terms. The Last Updated timestamp. We keep it current. We keep it honest.
