This Privacy Policy explains what information TheJourneyOf.Life collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your data is yours. This document is a starter draft and must be reviewed by qualified counsel before public launch, particularly for GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and financial-data obligations.
1. Information We Collect
Account information (name, email, authentication data); content you choose to store (documents, financial entries, family records, Time Capsule messages); financial data you connect via aggregation partners; and technical/usage data (device, session, and log information used to secure and operate the Service).
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide and operate the Service, generate your Life Score and AI insights, secure your account, deliver Time Capsules per your instructions, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private content for advertising.
3. Zero-Knowledge Content
Your Life Journal and Security Vault entries are end-to-end encrypted and cannot be read by TheJourneyOf.Life. Time Capsule messages are encrypted at rest, since they must remain readable by a future recipient. See our Security page for details on our encryption architecture.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We share information only: with service providers who help operate the platform under strict confidentiality; with people you explicitly authorize through access roles; and when required by law. You control who sees what through TheJourneyOf.Life's access role system.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can export a complete archive at any time, and deleting your account removes your data within 24 hours (backups age out per our retention schedule).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@helixa.life to exercise these rights.
7. Children's Privacy
TheJourneyOf.Life requires users to be at least 13, with parental consent for those between 13 and 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
